Neeraj Chopra’s night started with a foul on his first attempt, but he quickly found his rhythm. His second throw landed at 83.45 meters, placing him third at that stage. The third attempt was the highlight of the evening—Neeraj launched the javelin to a winning distance of 85.29 meters, topping the nine-man field and securing the gold medal.

He followed this up with throws of 82.17 meters and 81.01 meters, before ending his sequence with another foul. Despite sealing victory, Neeraj was visibly disappointed after his final attempt, showing his​ relentless pursuit of excellence​ and personal milestones.
